Sustainability

As a small business, we believe in giving back to our planet. Pretty Planet has so far planted 305 trees through Just One Tree, creating rural employment, restoring habitats, and absorbing around 93.94 tonnes of CO2 as they grow over the next 25 years. We’ve also adopted a piece of coral through Coral Gardeners, which will be planted in Fiji to help regenerate vital reef ecosystems.

Beach Clean Up Challenge

We believe small actions create big waves. Pick up at least 5 pieces of litter or plastic from the beach, tag Pretty Planet or send us a photo, and we’ll thank you with a £5 Pretty Planet voucher.

A Perfect Night in Bangkok’s Chinatown ❤️💫 Here’s A Perfect Night in Bangkok’s Chinatown ❤️💫

Here’s your quick itinerary:

📌 Arrive before sunset and wander Yaowarat’s glowing streets and take in the atmosphere.
📌 Grab dinner at the famous street food stall of Jek Pui for a very budget-friendly, delicious, and authentic curry and rice.
📌 Pick up dessert at @deksomboon_official to try their soy sauce ice cream with soy sauce drizzle (yes it actually works and it’s amazing - thank me later).
📌 Book a foodie tour through @achefstour to sample 15+ dishes if you want to try lots of hidden away hole in the wall places you wouldn't find on your own. Or graze on street food as you go.
📌 Stop for a cocktail at the gorgeous @shanghai_mansion. You can stay here too if you’re looking for a boutique stay in the heart of Chinatown.
📌 End your night at @hannibalbar.bkk, which is hidden in an old multi-storey car park/mall (see last video), where you can bowl your cocktails in a bowling ball to shake them up. The whole bar is just such a VIBE!

The best trip with the Gili Girls 🩷🌴☀️🥥 I can’t b The best trip with the Gili Girls 🩷🌴☀️🥥

I can’t believe I’m only just sharing this collection of memories from last summer on the Gili Islands. Last year was a huge turning point for me - leaving behind my 10-year career as cabin crew, saying goodbye to family, friends and our home, and moving across the world to Southeast Asia.

Adjusting took time. We spent the summer in Bali, and I found myself missing my girls and my busy social life back in the UK. I was craving connection, so I booked a long weekend trip with @solotravelgirlsofficial to the Gili Islands, and it was exactly what my soul needed.

4 days of island bliss with the most incredible women: we laughed, bonded, and created memories I’ll treasure forever. Even though I run my own group trips, I love supporting other women in this space, and honestly, it was such a dream to simply show up, let go, and have everything taken care of for me.

It's one of the best group trips I’ve ever joined! If you’re dreaming of a solo escape to Bali or Lombok, I can’t recommend @solotravelgirlsofficial Gili tours enough. They thought of everything, handling all the little details that make a group trip feel effortless. Trust me, you’ll come home with memories you’ll never forget 🌺✨

Cruising Koh Mak in my hot pink ride 💕 Where to H Cruising Koh Mak in my hot pink ride 💕

Where to Hire:
On my solo getaway to Koh Mak a few months back, I wanted to see the whole island in style. I rented this hot pink cart from @hanoiihousekohmak near Ao Kao Beach - ฿600 for 6 hours (approx £14). It’s pricier than a scooter, but after not driving since leaving the UK, I was craving that car feeling and a comfy drive. Koh Mak is only about 6 square miles, so you can easily explore it in a day. The roads are quiet, making it ideal for a leisurely drive.

Island Route Itinerary & Highlights:
Cape Tukata → Koh Mak Temple → @talaytime (lunch with a view) → Cat Shrine → Cinnamon Scenic Boardwalk → Somchai’s Love Garden → Ao Soun Yai Beach → @cococaperesort (sunset drink)

Shell we talk about Koh Rong 🐚🤍 We spent Christma Shell we talk about Koh Rong 🐚🤍

We spent Christmas week unwinding on the beautiful island of Koh Rong, the slow reset we needed after a full and life‑shifting 2025, and before another big year ahead in 2026.

Most days were super simple and chilled - floating in crystal‑clear water, relaxing on the veranda of our rustic beach bungalow, and slowing down with island time. We did peel ourselves away for a couple of adventures, a full day zipping around the island on a scooter to see the sights and find new beaches, and another day hopping over to Koh Rong Sanloem to experience its even calmer, softer pace.

If you’re dreaming of an easy island getaway, Koh Rong is the perfect place to escape and slow down.

Save this guide for your Cambodia planning or drop any questions in the comments, always happy to help you map out your trip ✨

Sustainable travel isn’t about perfection, it’s ab Sustainable travel isn’t about perfection, it’s about intention 💚

It’s not about getting every choice “right” or overhauling the way you explore the world.
It’s about moving with awareness, noticing the impact you have, honouring the places you visit, and choosing the small shifts that feel doable for you.

Every mindful decision counts. Supporting local businesses. Slowing down instead of rushing through. Packing lighter. Respecting the culture, the land, and the people who call it home.

You don’t need to be the “perfect eco‑traveller” to make a positive impact.
You just need to care, and let that care guide your actions, one step at a time.

2025 has been an absolute whirlwind. I’ve travelle 2025 has been an absolute whirlwind. I’ve travelled to 19 countries, hiked to Everest Base Camp 😅, hosted 3 group trips (Malaysia, Bali, and Romania), left my job as cabin crew, moved across the world, and taken the leap into full-time self-employment and remote work. It’s honestly been a wild ride!
‌
Adjusting to this new lifestyle has been a journey in itself. I’m only just starting to find my rhythm, and while there have been so many incredible highs, there have definitely been some tough moments too. I miss my family, friends, my cats, and our home in the UK more than I expected. Sometimes I really wish I could be in 2 places at once.
‌
After 10 years as cabin crew, I didn’t realise how much I’d gotten used to that lifestyle and structure. Shifting into self-employment has been a huge change, and there have been plenty of “what the f*ck was I thinking?” moments. Running a small business is competitive, which isn’t really me as I genuinely want everyone to succeed and do well and what they love. Life’s too short to get caught up in comparison and competition.
‌
The travel space feels more crowded than ever, and it can be hard to stand out. Sometimes it seems like the goalposts are always moving. But I’m committed to staying true to myself, not chasing trends that don’t feel right, and focusing on honesty and integrity in everything I do. Maybe that’s not always the easiest path, but I believe it’s the right one for me, my business and for the community we’re building.
‌
Thank you so much for being here and supporting this journey, whether you’ve joined a tour, booked a travel chat, purchased a digital product, shopped through my affiliate links or simply liked a post. Every bit of support means the world to me.
‌
I’m really looking forward to 2026 and everything the new year will bring. I feel super inspired and excited to keep growing this little community and to see where we can go together. You’re all amazing, and I hope you remember that everyone is on their own unique path just trying to figure out this crazy thing called life. Happy New Year and here’s to more adventures and I hope 2026 all your wildest dreams come true 💫
Island hopping Thailand’s dreamy lesser-known east Island hopping Thailand’s dreamy lesser-known east coast islands: Koh Chang → Koh Mak → Koh Kood 🌴✨
‌
Koh Chang, Koh Mak, and Koh Kood are 3 islands in Thailand’s eastern Trat province in the Gulf of Thailand. They are perfect for Island hopping. Koh Chang is the biggest and most developed, Koh Mak is small and peaceful with a slow, eco‑friendly feel, and Koh Kood is the most pristine and untouched, known for its clear water and quiet beaches.
‌
Boats to the islands leave from Laem Ngop on the mainland, with crossings taking anywhere from 30 minutes to around 2 hours depending on the route. They’re easy to reach from Bangkok by regular minivans, and booking through @12go_com makes it easy - my bus and boat combo to Koh Mak was about £25 each way and took just over 7 hours.
‌
You can also pick just 1 island and settle in for a full week of proper unwinding. I chose Koh Mak for its small size and laid-back vibe, and even hopped over to the tiny, uninhabited Koh Kham just 10 minutes away by boat.
‌
If you want to explore all 3 then here’s a quick guide of what to see and do…
‌
🤍 Koh Chang (biggest & most lively)
- Klong Plu Waterfall
- Kai Bae Viewpoint
- Bang Bao Pier
- Island‑hop to Koh Wai
- Kayak to the tiny islands off Kai Bae
- Diving/snorkelling on the southwest coast
‌
🤍 Koh Mak (smallest & most relaxed)
- Cococape Pier
- Drive the island
- Snorkel at Koh Rayang Nok
- Ao Kao & Ao Suan Yai
- Koh Kham for white sand + black rocks
- Cinnamon Boardwalk
‌
🤍 Koh Kood (best beaches)
- Klong Chao Waterfall
- Ao Tapao & Ao Phrao
- Ancient Makka trees
- Kayak the mangroves
- Snorkel calm bays
- Stargaze
‌

Munduk, Bali: Your Mini Guide 🌾 Munduk is a peace Munduk, Bali: Your Mini Guide 🌾

Munduk is a peaceful mountain village in Northern Bali, known for its waterfalls, coffee plantations, and cooler climate. It’s the perfect escape from the island’s busier coastal areas.

Here’s your mini guide to Munduk:

- Stay: Book a quirky jungle villa or eco-lodge with epic sunrise and sunset views. We stayed at Da’Kayu Glamping for £21 a night bed and breakfast and it was so peaceful and relaxing and the views were gorgeous overlooking rice fields - perfect if you’re on a budget!

- See: Explore the beautiful waterfalls in and around Munduk, we visited Melanting and the Golden Valley Waterfall, but there are loads to choose from. Both of these are easy to reach. Make sure to stop off at the Twin Lakes for the views. Stargaze at night at the Twinkley night skies, the skies are so clear here at night as there is hardly any light pollution. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is only about a half hour drive from Munduk so if you haven't been yet tie in a visit with your stay in Munduk.

- Eat & Drink: Stop for some lunch at Eco Cafe 2, it’s a family run place and the views are stunning! Grab a hot chocolate to warm up at the cafe at the Golden Valley Waterfall.

- Tips: Spend 2-3 days in Munduk to fully relax and unwind. Pack a light jacket and warmer clothes as it’s much cooler there compared to other areas in Bali. Hire a scooter to get around (our accommodation sorted one for us).

📌 Save this for your Bali itinerary!

These are just some of my go‑to hacks for getting the best rates on places to stay. On my recent Romania group trip, the hotel I had in mind for the tour was over budget, so I reached out, shared how much I loved their brand, and mentioned a similar hotel nearby was much cheaper. They price‑matched! It really doesn’t hurt to ask, the worst they can say is no!

In October I hosted my 4th Pretty Planet adventure In October I hosted my 4th Pretty Planet adventure, this time a long weekend in Romania filled with all the autumn vibes. From traditional feasts and rescued bears to Dracula’s Castle, Brasov’s cobbled streets, Bucharest’s buzz, and Europe’s largest spa, we squeezed in so many unforgettable moments ✨🐻🏰🧛🏻🍂

Thank you to all the amazing women who came along for a fab weekend of adventure and laughter! We had the best time. Here’s a snapshot of our itinerary if you want to copy it for your weekend getaway to Romania…

Thursday:
🧡 Welcome dinner at @carucubere - we kicked things off with a traditional Romanian feast: bean soup in bread, sarmale, mushroom stew, and papanasi doughnuts. The historic setting, dancing, and lively atmosphere are unforgettable, make sure to book ahead!

Friday:
🧡 We took a long full day trip to Transylvania to get a taster. We visited the @libearty_bear_sanctuary, explored Bran Castle, and wandered the charming streets of Brasov.

Saturday:
🧡 I organised a morning Bucharest walking tour so we could deep dive into Romania’s history and culture, followed by lunch at the Insta famous @grandcafevangogh. We had some free time to just get lost in the city, so we visited Carturesti Carusel and the Palace of Parliament.
🧡 Saturday night was a highlight, the city lit up with the free @spotlight_arcub light and sound festival, and we ended the evening with cocktails in the buzzing Pasajul Macca Vilacrosse arcade.

Sunday:
🧡 For our final day after checking out we went to @therme_bucuresti which is Europe’s largest, with thermal pools, saunas, and tropical gardens a perfect way to close the trip before we went to the airport.

Stay:
🏩 We stayed at @moxybucharestoldtown which is in a great location. You get pink welcome shots on arrival and Moxys are just known for being fun and cool hotels.

Don’t forget to save this for your Romania weekend planning!
