The Person Behind Pretty Planet
Hello and welcome to Pretty Planet. I’m Tula – a late-thirties travel addict from Milton Keynes (UK) with a lifelong case of wanderlust. I’m married to Sean, and we share our little home with 2 very spoiled cats, Louis and Coco. After 10 incredible years flying as cabin crew, I finally took the leap, left my job, and took Pretty Planet full‑time. These days, nothing makes me happier than a good cuppa, planning our next adventure, and helping you plan yours.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to explore the world. I studied Travel and Tourism at both college and university. I’ve spent the past 20 years working across the industry, from hotels, travel agencies, travel after‑sales support, and of course, life in the skies as cabin crew. For years, I ran Pretty Planet alongside flying, squeezing in itinerary planning and creating guides between layovers on my days off.
Now, I’m proud to be a full‑time, self‑employed business owner running my own small travel agency and tour company. It might sound easy, but it’s taken years of planning, saving, and sheer determination to get here and I’m so grateful you’re here supporting this journey.
My Travels
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to explore some incredible places. I’ve flashpacked and lived as a digital nomad through Southeast Asia, explored New Zealand by campervan, snorkelled in the turquoise waters of the Cook Islands, taken myself on solo adventures, squeezed in weekend escapes around Europe, and made the most of every work layover – with countless trips in between. I’ve visited 90+ countries across 6 continents, and Asia has completely stolen my heart. My travel style is mostly mid‑range, with the occasional splurge when the moment calls for it.

Pretty Planet’s Story
I launched Pretty Planet back in 2017 as a passion project, a place to share destination guides, practical tips, and everything I loved about exploring the world. Travel has always been a lifelong obsession, and after years of working in the travel industry, I dreamed of turning that love into my own small travel business.
Pretty Planet has grown so much since those early days. What started as a little travel blog has evolved into a full travel agency, where I now plan bespoke trips and host my own small‑group adventures around the world. For DIY travellers, I’ve created digital guides and other helpful travel resources in my online shop to make planning easier and more enjoyable.
Sustainability
As a small business, I believe in giving back to our planet. Pretty Planet has so far planted 307 trees through Just One Tree, creating rural employment, restoring habitats, and absorbing around 94.56 tonnes of CO2 as they grow over the next 25 years. I’ve also adopted a piece of coral through Coral Gardeners, which will be planted in Fiji to help regenerate vital reef ecosystems. Join the Pretty Planet beach clean-up challenge.
