If you’re visiting Bali, make time to get off the If you’re visiting Bali, make time to get off the tourist trail and spend a night or 2 in one of the island’s many beautiful bamboo villas. If you want the best riverfront views of Wat Arun If you want the best riverfront views of Wat Arun in Bangkok, head to Maharat Road, just a short walk from the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. This stretch of road is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars overlooking the water, and it’s one of my favourite spots for sunset.

A few places do require reservations for golden hour. If you’re planning to just wander in for sundowners, arrive around 4-5pm to secure a good seat before the crowds roll in.

My go‑to spots along Maharat Road…

📌 Eagle Nest Bar: Fab for sunset cocktails with a perfect angle of Wat Arun.
📌 Inn A Day: Great for lunch; also a boutique hotel with incredible river views and a cosy rooftop bar.
📌 View Arun Restaurant & Bar: Ideal for a fancier dinner and cocktails. Definitely book ahead.

Other places worth checking out…
📌 Tyme Rooftop
📌 Before Sunset
📌 Tha Arun
📌 Rongros
📌 Supanigga Eating Room Tha Tien
📌 Chom Arun

@sundaysbeachclub is my absolute favourite beach club. My lovely friend @ksmeachem was in Bali visiting from Oz, and both of us had had Sundays saved on our Bali bucket list for the longest time, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s set on a private stretch of Uluwatu coastline, you get turquoise water, cliff views, and the softest, cleanest sand in Bali. In the evenings, there are beach bonfires at sunset, great cocktails, and a super relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a slow, dreamy day by the ocean. It’s 100% worth the splurge 👌🏻

@potatoheadbali is Bali’s design‑led beach club with a focus on sustainability, architecture, music, and culture all in one beachfront space. Come for the infinity pool, stay for the creative cocktails, DJ sets, and the energy that builds as the day goes on. It’s lively, stylish, and ideal if you want a full‑on Bali vibe. @ksmeachem and I absolutely loved our day here and the cocktails 🍹

@manobeachhouse is your boho‑chic escape in Seminyak. Soft neutral tones, comfy loungers, and a laid‑back atmosphere make it perfect for a long lunch or sunset cocktails. It’s a small intimate beach club and calmer than the big clubs, but still has great music and a beautiful beachfront setting 🌴

A few weeks back we headed 20 minutes north of Chiang Mai to Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir. We didnt see any other tourists there, just locals enjoying their picnics and lunches and kids swimming in the lake.

We visited during the Thai rainy season, so the weather wasn’t the best, so we just enjoyed a drink and the views. But imagine coming here on a warm sunny day for an authentic Thai lunch and a dip in the lake to cool down ☀️💦

Beautiful Beach is one of our favourite beaches on Lanta. It’s a gorgeous quiet beach with calm and clear water. It has all the amenities you need - a cafe serving food and drink, a small beach bar (perfect for sundowners) and a massage shack. The beach is owned by a local family, so there is a ฿25/55p entrance fee per person, so remember to bring cash.

@followinggiants is an ethical elephant sanctuary that rescues tourist and logging elephants. Here you can witness the elephants going about their day wandering through the trees - no riding, no touching, no bathing and no feeding. You can prebook a tour which lasts about 2 hours and learn all about the work they do and about the elephants in their care.

Koh Rok and Koh Haa are 2 dreamy islands just off Koh Lanta. I would recommend booking a boat trip where you get to visit both, snorkel and get a beach lunch.

If you’re after some street food and some shopping, then make sure to visit Lanta Walking Street and browse the many stalls.

Mu Ko Lanta National Park is an absolute must. There’s an entrance fee, but if you’re looking for one of the best beaches on Lanta, it is here! It has a beautiful stretch of sand and is so peaceful and it's great to visit the lighthouse that overlooks the beach. There are also some walking trails here too.

If you’re looking for a cute souvenir to take home, then book a spot at Sam Batik where you can design and paint your own sarong. It costs about £13 for a sarong and once you have finished they hang to dry and it’s ready to pick up 24 hours later. It is really popular so make sure to prebook your spot and have a think of designs and colours before you arrive. They do have designs you can choose also.

One of my favourite things we did on K
Chiang Mai is known for its markets and night mark Chiang Mai is known for its markets and night markets. But one of my absolute favourites to visit is the Coconut Market, also known as Kad Ba Pao กาดบะป๊าว 🌴🥥❤️

It’s a beautiful market located on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, set on a coconut plantation. Hop in a grab or take a tuk-tuk, which takes about 15-20 minutes from Chiang Mai Old Town. It’s open Friday - Sunday from 8am until 3pm.

There are lots of great street food stalls, so it’s the perfect spot for breakfast/brunch or lunch before browsing the artisan stalls selling local crafts and locally made wares. There are lots of bamboo bridges and shacks and plenty of photo spots for the insta girlies. I would recommend going when it opens to beat the crowds.

Make sure to pin this for your Chiang Mai trip and send this to your travel pal. I also have a full Thailand Google Map available in my shop, which has over 1600 pins of recommendations if you need a little more help mapping out your Thailand trip ✌️🏻🇹🇭

It was a real highlight of @lolalo85 and my girls trip to Margate recently. There are 2 saunas to choose from: the barrel sauna or the electric sauna. You can book either a 1 or 2 hour session. We chose the barrel sauna and booked a 1 hour session and paid £16 for a social session, and added one of their salt scrubs for £5. If you fancy some food or drink after, don't miss nearby @thebuscafe, although there is also a small cafe on-site at Sea Scrub too ✌️🏻

A jolly girls escape to Margate (IYKYK) 🐚💕😂 @lola A jolly girls escape to Margate (IYKYK) 🐚💕😂

@lolalo85 and I just spent a night in the quirky seaside town of Margate for a much‑needed girls getaway. We’ve both been before, years ago and love the vibe, so it felt like the perfect spot for a proper catch‑up while I’m back in the UK. If you’re planning a coastal break, Margate absolutely deserves a place on your list of must‑visit seaside towns 🇬🇧

Here’s your mini Margate guide. Comment Margate and I’ll send you over all our Google Map pins and recommendations from the trip 🫶🏻

We stayed at the gorgeous @fortroadhotel, it is perfectly located, beautifully designed, and the staff are so lovely. If you’re looking for somewhere stylish and comfortable to stay in Margate with a great breakfast, I’d highly recommend it.

After arriving in Margate, we kicked things off with a wander through @oldkentmarketreal. It is a fun little spot packed with street food, bars, and independent shops.

Next, we grabbed a chippy lunch from @beach_buoys and took it straight to the beach. The portions are huge, so if you’re not overly hungry, share a meal or go for a kids meal.

After our chilled beach lunch, we spent the afternoon browsing Margate’s gorgeous vintage, indie, and art shops. You’ll find them dotted all over town, but the best clusters are around King Street, Love Lane, and Market Place.

We wandered over to the @shellgrotto, it’s £6 to enter and an absolute must‑see in Margate. This was my second visit and it’s still one of my favourite things to do in town. Afterwards, we headed to @margatecaves, which costs £5 and is so interesting.

Fresh seafood and champers for sundowners on the beach from @manningsseafoodmargate.

Along The Parade, just opposite Margate Main Sands, you’ll find a lovely stretch of restaurants, cafes, and bars - perfect for a drink or bite with a sea view.

@littleswiftct9 is the perfect little spot for sunset drinks. We loved the cosy upstairs nook overlooking the beach, and you can grab picky bits there too. If you love savoury flavours, try their pickle cocktail!

Don’t miss Margate Harbour Arm for sunset drinks too. On weekends there’s a DJ playing and it’s such a vibe on a sunny day. The
A slow cruise through Alleppey’s backwaters. The r A slow cruise through Alleppey’s backwaters. The region’s canals connect small villages, rice paddies and floating homes, and you can sail them by houseboat, shikara (traditional wooden boat) or public ferry 🇮🇳🌴🥥🪷🧡

📍 Marvel Cruise was the perfect end to our 2‑week India itinerary. We arrived, enjoyed a fresh Keralan lunch onboard, then set sail through the backwaters and watched the sky turn gold at sunset. After dinner and an early night, we woke to breakfast and one last peaceful sail before checking out.

If you’re planning a trip to Kerala, make sure to add an overnight stay to your bucket list, it’s such a relaxing way to experience Alleppey 🫶🏻

Talat Noi and nearby Song Wat Road are a mix of heritage lanes, indie cafes, restored shophouses and some of the city’s best street photography spots. Chinatown is also close, so you can wander all these areas in one easy route.

Tips For Visiting:
💙 Go early morning or late afternoon for cooler weather and beautiful light.
❤️ Bring cash for street snacks, vintage shops and small cafes.
🤍 Combine with Chinatown (Yaowarat), everything is walkable and close together.

Suggested Itinerary:
Start your day wandering Talat Noi’s pretty heritage lanes. Grab a coffee at Real Rare House or Blacksmith Cafe. If you prefer something more local and characterful, Mother Roaster is a favourite and right next to the Horseshoe Shrine, which is worth a quick stop.

Continue through the neighbourhood to So Heng Tai Mansion, a historic courtyard house with a small cafe. From here, explore the maze of alleyways and street art. Don’t miss 32Bar X for their Thai-inspired chocolates (mango sticky rice, green curry, massaman etc, they sound wild but taste incredible).

Walk towards Hong Sieng Kong, a rustic riverside cafe filled with antiques and photo spots. Nearby, Vanich House is great for quirky finds and vintage treasures.

If you want an authentic riverside Thai lunch, cross over to NAAM 1608 before heading towards Song Wat Road. Otherwise, save your appetite as Song Wat has plenty of great food stops.

If you’re planning a mini break with your girls, I If you’re planning a mini break with your girls, I honestly cannot recommend Mallorca enough. We had the dreamiest trip. It was exactly what we wanted and so much more. It has gorgeous beaches, crystal‑clear water, endless sangria and tapas, and beautiful old towns you could wander for hours. Here’s our 4‑day itinerary ✌🏻

Day 1:
Take the first flight out so you arrive with a full day to unwind. We checked into @hesperiamallorca, a gorgeous retro‑style hotel with a lovely pool and the cutest orange vintage vibes. We spent the whole day lounging by the pool with cheeky cocktails and ate our bodyweight in nuts and olives. Before heading out, we grabbed cans of sangria and crisps from the corner shop for balcony chats before getting ready. Then we headed out for dinner and drinks at @grandsienapalma.

Day 2:
We spent the day at Platja d’Illetes, a stunning beach with crystal‑clear water. It was busy, but the vibe in Mallorca is so good you barely notice it. There are beach clubs @balnearioilletas and @purobeachilletas; definitely prebook beds in the summer. We chilled on the beach, browsed the cute boutiques, and had lunch at @balnearioilletas (their gazpacho and sangria are elite). In the evening, we freshened up and headed out-out for Saturday night. We started with tapas and cocktails at @tapaspalma, then more cocktails at @turpial.cocktail.bar and @amara.mallorca, then danced until 5am at @brooklynclubpalma.

Day 3:
After crawling out of bed at midday a little hungover, we grabbed a dirty burger at @beewi_paseomallorca and then found sunbeds overlooking the rocky cove at Cala Comtesa. We stayed until late, swimming, sunbathing, and recovering. Instead of going back to get ready, we went straight for a sunset picky tea and sangria at @nanaibeach — absolute perfection!

Day 4:
Our flight wasn’t until late afternoon, so we headed into Palma early for brunch at @mistralcoffee and some sightseeing. We dropped our bags at @stowyourbags and wandered the pretty streets and cathedral area. Top spots to explore: ⚲Passeig des Born ⚲Carrer de Sant Feliu ⚲Catedral-Basilica de Santa Maria de Mallorca ⚲Mercat de l’Olivar 🧡

It’s the perfect mix of sunshine, great food, gorgeous backdrops, and a trip that feels like a mini holiday with zero stress.

Here’s what we got up to over our long weekend:

1. Pre‑dinner balcony photos with the girls
2. Checked into the coolest retro hotel, @hesperiamallorca, pool day + cocktails, then sangria tinnies and crisps on the balcony before heading out

When we booked our 2‑night stay in Kawaguchiko, I When we booked our 2‑night stay in Kawaguchiko, I knew we needed somewhere special. You come here for Mt Fuji, and with Fuji only visible on a limited number of days each year, choosing accommodation with a direct view is honestly essential IMO. Your best chance of seeing Fuji is usually at sunrise, before the clouds roll in and hide it for the rest of the day.

After lots of researching places with the best views, I found @qooneltas_2021, a modern cabin resort tucked into the forests around Kawaguchiko. Think private cosy cabins, your own kitchen, BBQ space, and a peaceful, nature‑focused setting that feels worlds away from the crowds.

We stayed for 2 nights, which cost around £200 per night. Not the cheapest, but we absolutely loved it. Waking up at 5:30am to Fuji glowing through the cabin windows felt priceless. Even if you don’t stay here, I always recommend choosing accommodation that faces Mt Fuji, because those quiet sunrise moments are when you’re most likely to see Fuji in full view.

The hardest part is choosing your charms. We spent nearly an hour deciding which ones to pick 😂

Once you’re done, tie in your charm‑bar visit with a wander around the nearby malls: Centerpoint Siam Square, Siam Square One, Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery and MBK Centre are all just a short walk away. If you want something cultural, the Erawan Shrine is also nearby.

For food, head to Koko Siam 1996, B Siam Food Court, or one of the many mall food courts. If you’re after a cafe, The Cassette Coffee Bar is super pink and girly, and Yoppa Yoghurt is close by and always popular.
